Let’s get geared up for the Calgary Stampede by trying out line dancing.

Adapted Golf
ASRAB is pleased to partner with the City of Calgary’s Future Golfer Tee to Green program to offer an adapted golf program, for youth and young adults ages 16-24.
Clubs and equipment are provided.
Please dress appropriately for the weather and come prepared to be outdoors.
Feel free to bring a partner to help you along the way or let us know if you prefer an ASRAB volunteer.
Ages: 16-24
Where: McCall Lake Golf Course located at 1600 32nd Ave NE Calgary, AB T2E 6R6
Meeting Area: The putting green area south of the Clubhouse. Please arrive 15 minutes early as the sessions will start promptly.

Dragon Boat
ASRAB dragon boat is back! Dragon boating includes a team of rowers who sit side by side and row to the beat of a drum. It’s a chance to get out on the water and have fun!
There will be 4 practices leading up to the Festival, and we encourage you to participate in all of them to prepare as a team!
Where: North Glenmore Park 7305 Crowchild Trail SW (meeting place in front of the Calgary Canoe Club)
Time: 1:30 p.m. – 3:30 p.m.
Please arrive 15 minutes early so we can be boating by 1:00 p.m. Life jackets will be provided, but please bring a change of clothes (just in case!), water and sunscreen.

Sailing Try-it!
Join us for a group sailing experience with the Disabled Sailing Association of Alberta! They offer sailing that is accessible for all ages and abilities.
Where: DSAA Boatyard, 8415 24 ST. SW
When: Thursday, August 1

Children’s Swim Lessons
Our Children’s Swimming Lessons provide a safe, fun, and educational environment for kids to learn essential swimming skills. This program helps children build water safety knowledge, improve technique, and boost their confidence in the water!
Ages: 5- 15
Where: Foothills Aquatic Centre, 2915 24 Ave NW, Calgary, AB T2N 4L6
Time: 7 p.m. – 8 p.m.
Please be ready to swim 15 minutes prior to the lesson start time. If your child is under 10, we require a parent/guardian to be in the pool with them.

Adult Aquasize
Dive into fitness with our invigorating Adult Aquasize Program! This low-impact, high-energy workout combines the benefits of aerobic exercise with the resistance of water to help improve cardiovascular health, strength, flexibility, and balance. Perfect for all fitness levels!

Yoga
Yoga is a spiritual discipline that uses breath control, relaxation techniques, simple meditation, and the adoption of specific bodily postures to increase overall body health. Learn the techniques to a better mind, body and soul through yoga!

Walking Club
Come catch a breath of fresh air and join in on our walking club! Walking club will be held at different parks and walking paths around the Calgary area. Walking Club will take place outdoors depending on weather conditions.
Dates: Every Sunday (weather permitting and excluding long weekends)
Time: From 2:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.

Membership Reminder
Please join ASRAB, to have access to sport and recreation programming for persons with visual impairment. Memberships are on a calendar year (January 1-December 31).
Membership fees:
$20.00 for Individuals [to a maximum of $40.00 per family]
We now have online forms that allow you to complete your membership online and use a credit card to make payment.

Splash Adaptive Water Ski
Water Ski & Wake Alberta provides access to the sports of water skiing and wakeboarding for persons with a disability. It aims to remove the barriers to getting on the water.
Their goal is to provide a safe, fun, successful learning experience for all persons with a disability. Everyone is welcome, any age, any ability!
The first clinic of the splash adaptive water ski program is free!

Lacrosse Barriers: Summer Camps
Lacrossing Barriers is a Not for Profit Organization dedicated to providing opportunities to play sport, move and learn skills to those in marginalized communities who have not always been given a choice.
