EDMONTON – Seeking Volunteers

We are looking for volunteer guides for various programs.

Cycling: Tandem Cyclist partner

We are seeking an individual who could act as a partner on a tandem bicycle for a visually impaired cyclist participating in a local adapted cycling program throughout the summer.

Sight Night Promo Events: Guide Runners

In preparation for the sight night fun run, which raises funds to support ASRAB’s programs, we will be holding four promotional days to spread the word on this event and our organization! We will be setting up at the 109 street Running Room location to not only promote the run, but to also give people the opportunity to experience what it would be like to run without their vision! In order to do this, we’ll need guide runners who can guide blindfolded individuals on a brief jog or walk. We hope that by doing this we can give people a memorable experience that will encourage them to participate in the sight night event to support ASRAB and the continuation of our programs.

As a guide, you would simply be there to keep the runner safe by alerting them to terrain changes, obstacles, and keeping them on the set course.
