How long have you played goalball?
9 years.
What has been the highlight of your goalball career?
Representing Canada in the 2019 Parapan Am Games and receiving a bronze medal in Lima.
What are your personal and team goals for goalball?
My personal goals are to continue to develop strength and skills. My team goals are to continue developing a bond with my teammates and to be able to play any position adequately.
What other sports do you play?
Dance, swimming, and diving.
How has ASRAB helped you?
By providing many opportunities to compete both provincially and at national level through training and coaches. ASRAB has also helped fund most of my trips as an athlete. Also, getting to know other visually impaired athletes in the community.
Have you participated in other ASRAB activities?
Sight Night, gymnastics, rocking climbing, and dance.
What motivates you to continue to participate in sports and recreation with ASRAB?
Mainly the love of the game and sport. To continue to represent Canada in future national and world events. To inspire and motivate younger athletes to be involved in sports and their passion – whatever that may be. To continue my fitness and strength.
Do you have any other personal philosophies on goalball and sport that you would like to share?
Don’t be afraid to follow your dream. If there is a will, there is a way.
