The Calgary Flames, in partnership with the National Hockey League (NHL), have a saying: Hockey is For Everyone. They support any teammate, coach or fan who brings heart, energy, and passion to the rink. They work to provide the sport in a positive and inclusive environment for players, their families and fans of every race, color, religion, national origin, gender, age, sexual orientation, socio-economic status and those with disabilities. Hockey is for Everyone uses the game of hockey – and the League’s global influence – to drive positive social change and foster more inclusive communities.<\/p>\n
The NHL has designated February as Hockey is for Everyone month to reaffirm that the official policy of the sport is one of inclusion on the ice, in our locker rooms and in the stands. Around the League and in our communities, we celebrate hockey’s diversity and our unwavering commitment to respect for all.<\/p>\n
With the above in mind, the Calgary Flames welcomes our visually impaired members to the Saddledome with a free ice-time on Friday, February 2nd from 5:00 pm – 6:30 pm.\u00a0This event is\u00a0aimed at everyone – from those on skates for the first time to those that are developing their skating skills, to those that enjoy playing blind hockey!<\/p>\n
