Upcoming Events Including:\u00a0 Dragon Boating, Lawn Bowling and Walking Club.<\/p>\n

Walking Club<\/strong><\/p>\n Join us for a walk in the beautiful river valley! We will meet at the main entrance of the Edmonton Conference Centre to begin and end our walks.<\/p>\n Guides can be arranged, please let the program coordinator know when you register if you will require a guide walker. Friends and family members are welcome to join as well!<\/p>\n Where: Edmonton Convention Centre For registration contact Haley at program.edmonton@asrab.ab.ca<\/a> with participants age, name and phone number.<\/p>\n Lawn Bowling Try-it!<\/strong><\/p>\n Missed the chance to try lawn bowling in June? ASRAB is excited to offer another opportunity to try lawn bowling!<\/p>\n Lawn bowls is played on a level green with a weighted or biased ball. The object of the game is to have one’s bowl come closest to the ‘goal ball’ or jack.<\/p>\n Where: Commonwealth Bowling Club Details: Bowlers play in comfortable clothing of any colour, ensuring only that they wear flat-soled shoes to avoid damaging the greens.<\/p>\n Lawn Bowls is played recreationally and competitively. We will be having a few competitive events occurring in Edmonton over the summer, so come to the lawn bowls try-it to see if you would be interested in participating in the Alberta Challenge!<\/p>\n For registration, contact Haley at program.edmonton@asrab.ab.ca<\/a> with participants age, name and phone number<\/p>\n Dragon Boating Try-it!<\/strong><\/p>\n Join ASRAB on the water to try out dragon boating! Dragon boating originated in China and there are rowers who sit side by side and row to the beat of a drum. It’s a chance to get out on the water and have fun!<\/p>\n Where: Edmonton Dragon Boat Racing Club Details: Please arrive 15 minutes early so we can be boating by 10:00 am. Instructors will teach you the basics, and life jackets will be provided. Please bring a change of clothes (just in case!), water and sunscreen.<\/p>\n
