Join us at our 3-day youth sports camp at MRU! Featuring indoor and outdoor activities such as rock climbing, tandem cycling, soccer, beep kickball, tennis, beep baseball, disc golf and much more!<\/p>\n

Beep Kickball Try-it!<\/h3>\n

Come join us outside for our Beep Kickball Try-it!<\/p>\n

Beep kickball is played on a baseball diamond with a beeping base and an audible kickball.<\/p>\n

Dragon Boat Festival<\/h3>\n

Register Now Online!<\/a><\/p>\n

ASRAB dragon boat is back! Dragon boating includes a team of rowers who sit side by side and row to the beat of a drum. It’s a chance to get out on the water and have fun!<\/p>\n

There will be 4 practices leading up to the Festival, and we encourage you to participate in all of them to prepare as a team!<\/p>\n

Young Adult Tee to Green Golf Program, Ages 16 – 24<\/h3>\n

ASRAB is pleased to partner with the City of Calgary’s Future Golfer Tee to Green program to offer an adapted golf program, for youth and young adults ages 16-24.<\/p>\n

Clubs and equipment are provided.<\/p>\n

Please dress appropriately for the weather and come prepared to be outdoors.<\/p>\n

Feel free to bring a partner to help you along the way or let us know if you prefer an ASRAB volunteer.<\/p>\n

Please find the attached Photo Waiver<\/a> that needs to be signed and brought with you upon arrival.<\/p>\n

Dates<\/strong>: Tuesdays & Fridays, July 14, 18, 21 & 25, 2023 (Final Par 3 course Friday July 28th)<\/p>\n

Time<\/strong>: 5:55 \u2013 6:55 p.m. (Friday July 28th 5:25-6:55pm)<\/p>\n

Ages<\/strong>: 16-24.<\/p>\n

Where<\/strong>: McCall Lake Golf Course located at 1600 32nd Ave NE Calgary, AB T2E 6R6<\/p>\n

Meeting Area<\/strong>: The putting green area south of the Clubhouse. Please arrive 15 minutes early as the sessions will start promptly.<\/p>\n

Registration<\/strong>: Please register by emailing program.calgary@asrab.ab.ca<\/a>! Please include the participants age, gender and dominant hand. Note there is a maximum of 8 participants per session. Registration will be first come first serve.<\/p>\n

Cost<\/strong>: Free for members. If you do not have your 2023 membership, you can complete it here<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Volunteers Needed<\/strong>: Please email program.calgary@asrab.ab.ca<\/a> if you are interested in volunteering for this program.<\/p>\n

Walking Club<\/h3>\n

Walking club will be held at different parks and walking paths around the Calgary area. Walking Club will take place outdoors depending on weather conditions.<\/p>\n

Dates<\/strong>: Every Sunday (weather permitting and excluding long weekends)<\/p>\n

Time<\/strong>: From 2:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.<\/p>\n

Where<\/strong>: Locations to be announced via e-mail after registration.<\/p>\n

Alt Route and CNIB Skateboarding!<\/strong><\/p>\n

Learn how to skateboard through the or hone your skills at our accessible skateboard compound bash!<\/p>\n

Alt Route is an accessible skateboarding program based in Calgary, Alberta that strives to create a safe, inclusive, and accessible skatepark experience for children, youth and young adults living with sight loss.<\/p>\n

For: CNIB participants ages 7-25. Siblings who fit that age range also welcome to accompany their sibling.<\/p>\n
