ASRAB is pleased to partner with\u00a0Athletics Canada to offer this exciting opportunity to learn and\u00a0participate\u00a0in a variety of track and field events for visually impaired athletes on July 7.<\/p>\n
Athletics Canada is the National governing body for Track and Field and includes both the Olympic and Paralympic streams.\u00a0We have two individuals joining us from Athletics Canada to support this event: Kayla Cornale is the Para-Athletics Development and Talent-Identification Lead across Canada and Billy Reed is the Western Canada Para-Athlete Development Scout. Together they are working to increase awareness regarding para-athletics and help grow the excitement of emerging athletes.<\/p>\n
During the course of this event you will have the opportunity to try Running, Throwing, and Jumping Events.\u00a0Try one or try them all!\u00a0You don’t want to miss out on this unique opportunity!\u00a0Friends or family welcome to join in.<\/p>\n
Day: <\/strong>Tuseday, July 7, 2015 Volunteer Opportunity:<\/strong>\u00a0Volunteers will be needed to assist as guide runners and directors for the various track and field events.
