ASRAB Junior Women’s Team
We are very excited to announce the ASRAB Junior Women’s Team comprised of Brieann Baldock (Edmonton); , Shams Hamad, Meaghan Hargrave and Caitlin Higgins (Calgary); and coached by Lorna Snow and Cathie Hossack. A few notes about the team:
- Shams, Meaghan and Caitlin started participating with ASRAB Goalball program ~6 years ago as children. They are now attending their third Junior Nationals. They have been training with Alberta Sport Development Centre: Calgary for two seasons, on a program to transition them to the senior program.
- Meaghan was named to the Canadian Junior Goalball Team in 2015.
- Brieann has been training out of Edmonton for 3 years, and has participated with the ASRAB Women’s Squad since 2014.
I am pleased to include a story that MRU TV did on the Alberta Sport Development Centre: Calgary Region and featured ASRAB Junior Shams training with Tessa Gallinger, which aired on Shaw TV a few weeks ago.
Goalball Judges
We still require some additional volunteer goalball judges … if you would be aware of anyone who may be interested in assisting us (and could circulate this information to them?) that would be helpful.
