ASRAB 50th Anniversary
Jim Krysko of AMI (Accessible Media Inc.) attended our 50th Anniversary Gala (September 14th in Calgary). He was moved by the passionate speeches of our 4 President's that spoke at the Gala and their reminiscing about their role in ASRAB's 50-year history. He thought the story would make a great Audio Documentary – a nice opportunity for us to share the history of the organization.
The speakers are:
Laura Layton – President #1 (1975), and on the Board in 1976.
Jim Leask – President #2 (1976 & 1977), and on the Board to 1998. Went on to be involved with IBSA / international goalball.
Lorna Snow – President #3 (1978 – 1989), and on the Board 1990-2016 … ~ 40 years.
Chris Abdalla – President (since 2022-2025), and on the Board 2018-2022
Jim Krysko - AMI, and long-term supporter of ASRAB and promoter of our programming
Crystal Flaman - Flaman Fitness, long-term sponsor of ASRAB as the presenting sponsor of sight night since 2010
