CALGARY: ASRAB’s Skating and Blind Hockey Skills Development Program!

Hockey SkillsCalling all members who want to practice their skating skills or learn some hockey drills! Join in on our five week program at the Olympic Oval for some fun on the ice! The first half an hour of ice time will be devoted to practicing skating and those who want to join in on learning some hockey skills and drills are welcome to participate on one side of the ice for the remainder of the hour.

Those who wish to continue skating may do so for the full hour. Helmets are mandatory so make sure to bring them. It is encouraged to bring your own skating gear. If you need to rent gear, you may do so on your own behalf. Also, please come 15 minutes early to allow time to lace up!

Thursday, January 10, 2019 from 5:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m.
Sunday, January 13, 2019 from 1:45 – 2:45 p.m.

Sunday, February 3, 2019 from 5:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m.
Tuesday, February 19, 2019 from 5:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m.
Saturday, February 23, 2019 from 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m.

Where: Olympic Oval Hockey Ice located at 2500 University Dr NW Calgary, AB T2N 1N4

Please note that if you wish to join the hockey skills and drills portion that the following equipment is mandatory and must be brought with you:

  • Helmet with a cage
  • Hockey sticks
  • Hockey Gloves or if you don’t have them gloves / mittens will do
  • Shin pads

ASRAB’s Program Lead for this program will be Daniela Ruttle. Daniela is one of our ASRAB parents that has helped initiate our highly anticipated skating and hockey skills development program. She will be the person of contact after registration and will update participants regarding further development of this program.
