When the sun goes down on Saturday, September 26, 2015, the light from hundreds of headlamps will bob and weave along the North Saskatchewan River Pathways as enthusiasts and supporters of visually impaired Albertans join in sight night – a fun run after dark. sight night, presented by Flaman Fitness, is more than just another run – it is a vision-optional event that raises funds and awareness for the Alberta Sports and Recreation Association for the Blind (ASRAB).
Enthusiastic participants will gather at Telus Field for a chipped 6 km or 8 km run and a 3 km walk on the North Saskatchewan River Pathway and all registrants will receive a high quality headlamp – the sight night light! Visually impaired runners will share the path with sighted runners and the after-dark timing will make it a more even playing field.
