Come Play Goalball with us!
ASRAB is excited to invite you to try goalball! Goalball is a Paralympic level sport that is played on a volleyball sized court with tactile tape, an audible ball, and eye shades.
Discover how to play and develop some new skills!
All abilities are welcome. All equipment is provided. All you need to do is show up and have fun!

Youth and Adult Ice Hockey
ASRAB is excited to invite you to learn and play hockey! The SeeHawks welcome players of all abilities! Don’t have the equipment, no problem, we can help! Please be there 1/2 hour before the posted start time to get ready. Please make note that a part of the ice is devoted to learn-to-skate! If you are interested and would like to skate, sign on up.

Details: The youth and adult programs will both be held at the Rogers place Downtown area. For the first hour of practice the youth program and the adult program will split the ice in half. Youth working with their coaches on one side of the ice. The adults will be working with their coach on the other. After the hour is complete, the adults will have the full ice to themselves and the youth practice will be complete.

Snow Shoeing
Come try out an introduction to snow shoeing! Come on out to the beautiful Hawrelak park and try fun winter activity.
All aged and abilities are welcome. We will be providing snowshoes for participants registered for the program.
Please note, this program will have a limited number of participants each night of the program as we have a limited access to snowshoes. Please register for the program by emailing program.edmonton@asrab.ab.ca
Please wear appropriate winter clothing and boots as we will be outdoors.

We have access to 8, size is adjustable snow shoes. If you are interested in getting out on the trails to try out some snow shoeing please email your registration as soon as you can. If we cannot accommodate you one week due to high demand, we will get you in the following week or whenever works with you schedule.

Steadward Center for Personal and Physical Achievement
Athlete Development for Para Sport
This program is geared towards athletes experiencing disability ages 12+ who want to increase their training level to challenge themselves, improve performance in recreational sport, or work towards their goal of high-level competition. The focus is on physical conditioning – looking at muscular strength and power as well as skill development in a fun, educational group environment. Athletes train in a group setting, but each receives an individualized program focusing on specific areas of strength and areas for improvement.
Location: The Steadward Centre Fitness Centre
Program times: Tuesday and Thursday evenings (4:30 – 7:30 pm).
Sessions run for 12 weeks (January – April) terms, and 8 weeks in the spring (May – June).
