Try-it! All Ages Combat Archery
Come try out archery with accessible and original games in the sport of “Combat Archery”. Likened to dodgeball, all arrows are tipped with dense foam, making the sport accessible and safe for all participants. In this two week Try-it participants will play two different games!
1) Similar to traditional archery, players will have 6 shots to hit three different targets, with each hit scoring them a point. At the end of two rounds, the player with the highest score wins.
2) The second games, entitled “Referee Hunt”, is a team game. Players are split into two groups, lined up beginning of the range, and the referees stand down-range. The referee will then start talking or singing to the players to let them know their location. Teams will then take turns volley-firing at the referee. Every time a team hit the ref they score a point, and the ref moves to a new location.

Outdoor Celebration at William Watson Lodge through The ParticipACTION Community Challenge! June 17th
We are excited to announce that we were selected for a grant for the ParticipACTION Community Challenge coming June 1-30! We’re doing our part to level the playing field by empowering individuals and strengthening communities through the power of sport and physical activity.
The Community Challenge is a national physical activity initiative that encourages everyone to get active together throughout June, with Canada’s most active community winning the top prize of $100,000 to go towards local physical activity and sport initiatives.
Anyone can participate in the ParticipACTION Community Challenge by downloading and tracking their movement on the ParticipACTION app throughout June, or by joining local Community Challenge activities like the William Watson Outdoor Celebration.
This project has been made possible in part by the Government of Canada.
