Dragon Boat Festival
ASRAB dragon boat is back! Dragon boating includes a team of rowers who sit side by side and row to the beat of a drum. It’s a chance to get out on the water and have fun!
There will be 4 practices leading up to the Festival, and we encourage you to participate in all of them to prepare as a team!
Where: North Glenmore Park 7305 Crowchild Trail SW (meeting place in front of the Calgary Canoe Club)

Try-it! Line Dancing
Let’s get geared up for the Calgary Stampede by trying out line dancing!

Young Adult Tee to Green Golf Program, Ages 16 – 24
ASRAB is pleased to partner with the City of Calgary’s Future Golfer Tee to Green program to offer an adapted golf program, for youth and young adults ages 16-24.
Clubs and equipment are provided.
Please dress appropriately for the weather and come prepared to be outdoors.
Feel free to bring a partner to help you along the way or let us know if you prefer an ASRAB volunteer.
Please find the attached Photo Waiver that needs to be signed and brought with you upon arrival.
Dates: Tuesdays & Fridays, July 14, 18, 21 & 25, 2023 (Final Par 3 course Friday July 28th)
Time: 5:55 – 6:55 p.m. (Friday July 28th 5:25-6:55pm)
Ages: 16-24.
Where: McCall Lake Golf Course located at 1600 32nd Ave NE Calgary, AB T2E 6R6
Meeting Area: The putting green area south of the Clubhouse. Please arrive 15 minutes early as the sessions will start promptly.
Registration: Please register by emailing program.calgary@asrab.ab.ca! Please include the participants age, gender and dominant hand. Note there is a maximum of 8 participants per session. Registration will be first come first serve.
Cost: Free for members. If you do not have your 2023 membership, you can complete it here.
Volunteers Needed: Please email program.calgary@asrab.ab.ca if you are interested in volunteering for this program.
Walking Club
Walking club will be held at different parks and walking paths around the Calgary area. Walking Club will take place outdoors depending on weather conditions.
Dates: Every Sunday (weather permitting and excluding long weekends)
Time: From 2:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.
Where: Locations to be announced via e-mail after registration.

All children and youth are welcome to join us for our free 3 day sports and recreation summer day camp from July 25th to 27th at Mount Royal University!

Alt Route and CNIB Skateboarding!
Learn how to skateboard through the or hone your skills at our accessible skateboard compound bash!
Alt Route is an accessible skateboarding program based in Calgary, Alberta that strives to create a safe, inclusive, and accessible skatepark experience for children, youth and young adults living with sight loss.
For: CNIB participants ages 7-25. Siblings who fit that age range also welcome to accompany their sibling.
Where: The Compound YYC, 840 26 Ave SE Calgary, AB.
