Dragon Boating

Get ready to paddle your way into summer fun! Join the crew for another year of Dragon Boating, as you paddle to the beat of the drum. Whether you are new or returning, it’s an awesome way to get out on the water, create meaningful friendships, and have fun in the sun!

There will be 5 practices leading up to the Festival, and we encourage you to participate in all of them to prepare as a team!

Please arrive 15 minutes prior to the start time so we can start boating by 12 pm. Life jackets will be provided, but please bring a change of clothes (just in case!), water and sunscreen.

Ages: All ages and abilities are welcome!

Where: North Glenmore Park located at 7305 Crowchild Trail SW (meet at the Calgary Canoe Club)

Time: 12 pm – 2:00 pm

Lawn Bowling – Try it!

Get ready to roll with us! ASRAB and the Stanley Park Lawn Bowling Club are teaming up to bring you an adapted lawn bowling program for all ages and skill levels. Whether you are a beginner or want to sharpen your skills, this is your chance to come out, join us, and have some fun bowling!

Bowling balls and equipment are provided.

Feel free to bring a partner to help you along the way or let us know if you prefer an ASRAB volunteer.

Where: Stanley Park Lawn Bowling Club located at 350 42 Ave SW, Calgary, AB T2S 0Z3

Adapted Golf – Ages 16-24

ASRAB is pleased to again partner with the City of Calgary’s Future Golfer Tee to Green program to offer an adapted golf program for young adults ages 16-24. Whether you are new to the game or looking to brush up on your skills, join us for some exciting days of golf! Be prepared to have lots of fun on the course!

Clubs and equipment are provided.

Please dress appropriately for the weather and come prepared to be outdoors.

Ages: 16-24

Where: McCall Lake Golf Course located at 1600 32nd Ave NE Calgary, AB T2E 6R6

Time: From 5:55 – 6:55 pm (except Friday July 25, 5:25 – 6:55 pm – playing lesson – this will be on par 3 course.)

Children’s Swimming Lessons

Sign up for some enjoyable and confidence-building swim lessons designed to create a safe, fun, and educational environment for kids to learn essential swimming skills. This program helps children build water safety knowledge and learn basic swimming techniques – all through engaging activities. Let’s build water confidence together and have a blast doing it!

Please be ready to swim 15 minutes prior to the lesson start time. If your child is under 10 we require a parent/guardian to be in the pool with them.

Ages: 4-14

Where: Shane Homes YMCA located at 11300 Rocky Ridge Rd NW, Calgary, AB T3G 5H3

Time: 6pm – 7pm

Summer Camp – Ages 8+

Join us for an action-packed summer camp! Each day will be full of exciting games, awesome activities, and tons of laughter. We’ll play a wide variety of sports and games like Disc Golf, Soccer, Lawn Games, Track and Field, and more! Along the way, campers will build fundamental movement skills like running, jumping, throwing, and kicking–all while having a blast and making new friends!

Ages: 8+

Where: Mount Royal University – 4825 Mt Royal Gate SW, Calgary, AB T3E 6K6

Time: 9:30 am – 3:30 pm
