Position: Right wing, left wing occasionally.
How long have you played goalball?
I have been playing goalball for 20 years.
What has been the highlight of your goalball career?
Making the World Junior team in 2009 and most recently being named to the National Team. Also, being considered for the future National Team in tournaments.
What are your personal and team goals for goalball?
My personal goal is to become a better athlete, train more and try to understand more strategies connected to the game. For team goals, we haven’t won Nationals since joining the team in 2014, so that is a goal I have.
What other sports do you play?
I play hockey, beep baseball, and downhill ski.
How has ASRAB helped you?
ASRAB has helped me reach my athletic goals by implementing programs to increase my skills. ASRAB has also helped organize optimal training with dedicated coaches.
Have you participated in other ASRAB activities?
Sight Night, hockey, coaching the children/youth goalball program.
What motivates you to continue to participate in sports and recreation with ASRAB?
I want to continue to grow as an athlete and what motivates me is achieving athletic goals, such as making a world championship or the Paralympics. I love the challenge of playing a game, as every game is different.
Do you have any other personal philosophies on goalball and sport that you would like to share?
Make sure your worst enemy doesn’t live between your own two ears.
