Caden Johnson
HOW LONG HAVE YOU PLAYED GOALBALL?
I started playing goalball in 2017.
WHAT HAS BEEN THE HIGHLIGHT OF YOUR GOALBALL CAREER?
I would say the social aspect of goalball would be the highlight for me. Having the opportunity to meet visually impaired people from all over the world is very cool. While I really enjoy competing in tournaments, I think having the chance to socialize is just as important.
WHAT ARE YOUR PERSONAL AND TEAM GOALS FOR GOALBALL?
My overall goal is to continue competing at a higher and higher level, and to continue growing as a player both physically and mentally. More specifically I would like to compete in the Paralympics one day.
WHAT OTHER SPORTS DO YOU PLAY?
I downhill ski, swim, and rock climb from time to time.
WHAT MOTIVATES YOU TO CONTINUE TO PARTICIPATE IN SPORTS AND RECREATION WITH ASRAB?
I think what motivates me the most is the support that ASRAB provides for people like me, those with visual impairments, to participate in sports in very similar ways to sighted individuals. I look forward to practices and actively working to grow as a player because I know there are future opportunities and future things to work towards.
