ASRAB was thrilled to work with Accessible Media Inc. (AMI) to develop a Described Iyengar Yoga program.
This program developed out of ASRAB’s long relationship with our yoga instructor Lynne Swenson. AMI collaborated with ASRAB, Lynne and our members on this health & wellness show for people of all abilities and levels.
AMI did a fantastic job developing the program with Lynne, and showcasing our members in the episodes, each focusing on different poses.
Now, people who are blind have the opportunity to experience yoga right from their homes! Come celebrate the finishing of the amazing AMI descriptive yoga program with us!
AND … we are sad to report that Miranda Brown (our Program Coordinator Calgary) will shortly be departing ASRAB. Miranda started with ASRAB as a practicum student, then volunteer, and then working as the Program Coordinator Calgary since October 2014. She has enjoyed building and developing programs with ASRAB; and has made a great impact in the areas of our physical literacy programming (including Movement for Me), as well as our recreation / sport exposure programs. She will miss everyone greatly … and we will miss her! Please join us in wishing her well with her move to Nova Scotia.
