Come learn how to swim with us! ASRAB is teaming up with Thornhill Aquatic Centre and offering beginner swimming lessons for children and youth. ASRAB members will be paired with a volunteer in the pool (parents are welcome to participate if needed).

Yoga is a spiritual discipline that uses breath control, relaxation techniques, simple meditation, and the adoption of specific bodily postures to increase overall body health. Learn the techniques to a better mind, body and soul through yoga! Sign up for the Tuesday or the Friday classes starting in October.

Movement for Me & Youth Sport Literacy

ASRAB invites you to join our Movement for Me classes that teach members a variety of physical literacy skills such as balancing, hopping, skipping, throwing, catching and much more! Physical literacy is the motivation, confidence, physical competence, knowledge, and understanding of movement for engagement in physical activities for life. These skills are the building blocks that are essential for a successful transition into sport and physical activities.

ASRAB is pleased to announce an additional tier to the Movement for Me program called the Youth Sport Literacy Program for members who would like to further develop their skills. This program is for members who have previously participated in the program and would like a bit more of a challenge. Please inquire via e-mail to verify if your child is ready for this program.

Soccer with ACPSA

Visually impaired soccer is played between two teams of players with an audible soccer ball. The game is played on a rectangular field with a goal at each end. The object of the game is to score by getting the ball into the opposing goal. Learn how to dribble, pass and shoot with experienced coaches and athletes there to mentor you. This is an all ages and abilities program designed to introduce you to various audible soccer balls and techniques. This introduction program is great for anyone who may be interested in a new Parasport at grass roots level. The object of soccer is to work together with your teammates in order to get past the other team and score on their net, while also defending your own net.

Walking Club

Come catch a breath of fresh air and join in on some fun walks around Come walk with us through various parks and along pathways as we explore the outdoors of Calgary. This is a terrific way to get active and make new friends. Casual walks are available for all ages and allow members to experience the wilderness and the surroundings of nature.

Where: Different locations around the Calgary area! Locations will be announced via e-mail upon sign-up.

Mount Royal University Children’s Adapted Physical Activity Program

The CAPA program will pair student volunteers one-on-one with children who have special needs (of any type, physical, sensory, developmental and or intellectual, ages 4-12 years). Activities will include organized games and sports, obstacle courses, craft-making, and story-telling in both the gym and swimming pool settings. Karate with Osuna

Join the Horseback Riding Program with 4:13 Therapeutic Riding Program

4:13 is offering 8 week fall sessions. The cost for the program is $400. Dates and times are below:

Village Square Adapted Fitness Classes
