ASRAB is pleased to re-launch programming! To ensure safety of our members, we have measures set in place for participation in our activities. We will be adhering to Alberta Health Services requirements by running programs with physical distancing, risk mitigation with masks and sanitizer as appropriate, and by having additional paperwork before engaging in activities.
We strongly encourage you to bring a mask to activities. if you are sick, please refrain from attending. We are very excited to welcome members back to our programs- join in on the fun!
Walking club will be held at different parks and walking paths around the Calgary area. Walking Club will take place outdoors depending on weather conditions. We ask that you come early to sign in and fill out additional paperwork. We recommend that you bring a mask with you to ensure safety.
Dates: Every Sunday starting October 4
Time: From 2:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.
Where: Locations to be announced via e-mail. The first walk will be at Edworthy Park and our meeting place will be Angels Cappuccino & Ice Cream located at 4105 Montgomery View NW Calgary, AB T3B 3E8

Adult Yoga – Coming Soon
Yoga is a spiritual discipline that uses breath control, relaxation techniques, simple meditation, and the adoption of specific bodily postures to increase overall body health. Learn the techniques to a better mind, body and soul through yoga! Our yoga program will be launching in October and will be on Tuesdays. Dates/times TBD.

National Coaches Week – September 19-21 #ThanksCoach
The Coaching Association of Canada is urging all athletes to support National Coaches Week on their respective social media channels. National Coaches Week is your best chance to celebrate the positive impact that coaches have had on you as an athlete. Use the hashtag #ThanksCoach and tag ASRAB (Instagram: @abblindsports and Facebook @AlbertaSportsForTheBlind)
Here are some tips to help you make that happen:
- Video messages of thanks from athletes to their coaches shared on social media
- Networking events with coaches via video conferencing software
- Using #ThanksCoach and share examples of how your coaches stayed engaged with their athletes and participants during the pandemic.
