Shaelene Standing is a 20-year-old athlete, student and dance teacher.
At age five, she was diagnosed with juvenile glaucoma and since then has endured nearly 20 surgeries to assist with her vision.
Growing up, she has worked around her challenges with limited vision in one eye and hopes to inspire others who are visually impaired.
She is hoping to pursue a career in medicine and is currently engaged in vision centered research.
Shaelene is looking forward to engaging with ASRAB members and teaching an active hip-hop dance class!
