Canadian Junior Goalball Championships

ASRAB is proud to be hosting the 2024 Canadian Junior Goalball Championships!
Come support our Alberta Junior Athletes as they compete with teams from across the country. Goalball is the only paralympic sport designed for individuals with visual impairment. Goalball is played on a volleyball sized court with tactile tape, an audible ball, and eye shades. Did you know? ASRAB is the official organization for goalball in Alberta.
Date: Saturday April 20th & Sunday April 21st.

Goalball Officials
ASRAB is hosting a Goalball officiating course in early April for table officials and referees. If you are interested in participating in this course to work towards certification, please contact Linda at execdirector@asrab.ab.ca
Don’t miss out on this opportunity to make a difference! We are looking for goal judges to volunteer during our tournament!
A goal judge raises their hand to confirm to the referee when a ball crosses the goal line and is positioned to the side of each goal edge. Goal judges are also crucial to the game’s speed since they retrieve a ball going off court and return the ball to play. No experience necessary, on court instruction will be provided.
Volunteer Shifts:
Saturday April 20th 8:30am to 11:30am
Saturday April 20th 11:30am to 2:30pm
Saturday April 20th 2:30pm to 6:00pm
Sunday April 21st 8:30am to 2:30pm
